Hey, Hey, What Can I Do?

First words of the day:  "I got a little woman and she won't be true..." screaming forth from the radio.

Years later and I'm still burned out on Zeppelin. Never been their biggest fan, but it was good when it was good.  I know, without a doubt, this song doesn't apply to me because I don't 'ball around all of the time'...I stick, like glue, to the man I love.  If it's referring to the reverse, I know my bags of yarn and I will have a good trip.  x

Let It Ride

"You can see the mornin',

but I can see the light

Try, Try, Try, to let it ride..."

I've let a lot of things ride in life. And a lot of people have let a lot of my crap ride. Live and let live, right? First words of the day: "Try, try, try to let it ride...." Loud and clear. Let it ride.

Suede Blue Eyes

"You're always dancing down the street with your suede blue eyes....."

First words of the day.

Used to listen to The Cars religiously. "Song Rape" as my son calls it.....because it was continuous, as in over and over and over.  I also used to own a blue suede jacket and I have some royal blue stiletto heels in a box somewhere.

I don't really know too many people with blue eyes.

Black Water

There was no alarm today. There was, however, me waking up at 11:35 pm...(we went to bed at 8:15 pm-don't ask) and somehow turning the radio on, but I cannot remember what was playing. I think it was Sheryl Crow.
In lieu of the morning wake up call, however, I thought I'd share this because it popped on one morning a few weeks back. One of my favorite songs from childhood.  Don't know why, just is.......

I Just Saw Haley's Comet

First words out of the clock today:  I just saw Haley's Comet....

I've never personally laid eyes on that particular comet, but some of the lyrics definitely apply. However, I am not leaving out today.....or saying goodbye.  But I often do find myself running in place.

Second Chance
Shinedown

My eyes are open wide
And by the way, I made it
Through the day
I watched the world outside
By the way, I'm leaving out Today

I just saw Haley's comet,
shooting
Said ,"Why you always running in place?
Even the man in the moon disappeared
Somewhere in the stratosphere"

Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance

Please don't cry
One tear for me
I'm not afraid of
What I have to say
This is my one and
Only voice
So listen close, it's
Only for today
